May 5 & 6 Gasa to Laya - On the way to Laya
It's a lengthy uphill hike through thick forest, crossing several small streams, till we reach Bari La pass (12,226 feet). From here the trail keeps going in and out of side valleys through an enchanted forest of firs. The hike on second day is very pleasant. The trail goes through beautiful forests, meadows filled with wildflowers, along the Mo Chu river.
